Who We Are

WHO WE ARE AND

WHERE WE CAME FROM

With very humble origins dating back over 50 years, four scientists and engineers came together bringing with them the highest degree of expertise in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Metallurgy and Tribology. With common bonds of scientific research and dedication to our country’s fledgling space program, these men set out to conquer the problem of the rapid failure of then known lubricants in spacecraft and high performance rocket powered aircraft. Within a few short years, armed only with their intelligence, their dedication and their slide rules, they solved the problem. It was done by giant leaps in the technology of solid lubrication using Molybdenum Disulfide modified by methods which are still today very highly classified. And in proof of this, we have not had a single lubricant failure on any spacecraft, missile or high performance aircraft since that time. Over 50 years of impeccable performance from the Bell X project to the Shuttle Transportation System (STS).

Today we are a family of some 15 operating divisions scattered around the world bringing to government and industry the most sophisticated and proprietary molybdenum lubricants ever known. We are the acknowledged world leader in Solid Lubricant technology. A science completely unknown to the US Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and virtually unknown to the major oil refiners and others in the petroleum industry. As we enter the 21st century, we have yet to find a lubrication application which cannot be addressed in a far superior manner by at least one of our formulas. And now, with the technology of the Internet, our unrestricted formulas will be available for the first time to state and local governments, an unrestricted range of private companies and the general public, regardless of whether domestic or foreign. By utilizing a flat “group management” structure, we achieve a high degree of flexibility with better individualized support service to our customer’s needs. Our family of operations functions under a variety of division names depending upon the sphere of responsibility delegated to each group member. The responsibility delegated may range from certain types of industry to certain types of applications depending upon the member’s scientific or engineering specialty. Our present operations are supported by one manufacturing plant in the United States, one plant in Canada and a third plant, currently in the planning stage, to be located on the Atlantic Coast of the US.

Our paramount mission at this time is to bring to a higher level the goals of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Office of Technology Utilization in transferring our technology and formulas to a much more diverse level of use by government, industry and the general public.
