FORMULA NAMES, DESCRIPTIONS, APPLICATIONS

Spica Blue

- A pure petroleum base subsurface penetrating lubricant used as a cutting, honing or reaming oil, to saturate and loosen rusted, corroded or otherwise frozen metal mating parts (nuts, bolts, etc.), as a combustion chamber lubricant for all internal combustion engines including marine engines, a compressor oil, an air tool lubricant and to initially saturate and clean any excessively fouled bore on any type of projectile firing weapon. This formula does not contain MoS2. NOTE: When used as a combustion chamber lubricant and upon customer request, we will include in this formula, at no extra cost, a biocide, a water absorption agent, a cetane/octane booster (by + 2 whole numbers) and a component to eliminate wax and fuel gel down to approximately -30º F.

Spica Gold

- A pure petroleum base colloidal suspension of 0.3 micron MoS2 (remicronized and inhibited) together with our pure petroleum base subsurface penetrating lubricant. Used as a maximum grade/quality weapons oil, a compressor oil, a crankcase or sump type lubricant for all internal combustion engines including marine, as a light weight lubricant and rust preventive on cables, chains and/or drum winches and many other applications where an SAE 20 to 60 weight type oil is recommended as with many types of manufacturing equipment.

Spica Green

- A pure petroleum base gear oil of SAE 80 to 140 weight (multi-viscosity) containing our 0.3 micron MoS2 (remicronized and inhibited) together with our subsurface penetrant, a proprietary gear cushion and proprietary heat shield. Used in any type gear box with any type gear configuration, as a medium weight lubricant and rust preventive on cables, chains and/or winches, on open gear teeth, on chain and sprocket drives, in trailer hubs and many other applications where a multi-viscosity weight gear oil or lubricant is required including a wide range of weapons/military equipment.

Spica Red

- A pure petroleum base hydraulic oil of SAE 10 weight containing our colloidal suspension of 0.3 micron MoS2 (remicronized and inhibited), our subsurface penetrant, a component to revitalize dried and shrunken gaskets (seals), a pour depressant, a viscosity improver and formulated to be dielectric. Used in any hydraulic application regardless of stationary, under cover or exposed to elements, where an SAE 10 weight hydraulic oil is recommended including all hydraulics on military weapons and equipment.

Spica Gray

- A fully formulated (not a concentrate) grease type lubricant containing our colloidal suspension of 0.3 micron MoS2 (remicronized and inhibited) and subsurface penetrant. Spica Gray is no longer available except for Aerospace/Defense applications.
